Happy Hunting

So for Easter we went to the zoo first. They had a great little Easter egg hunt and Levi loved picking up eggs. He also got to ride the carousel with the token he won. He loves the carousel and always asks to go, but we never let him, so I was glad he got to go today. We didn't stay long at the zoo because we needed to head to Gallatin to another Easter Egg Hunt.

At the Gallatin egg hunt a helicopter dropped the eggs. The kids loved picking up the eggs and Levi wanted to eat the candy right away, but we told him to pick up more eggs. Quite a few of eggs broke, but that didn't stop the kids from picking up every last bit of candy. After the egg hunt he was able to play on the inflatables. He loves to climb and jump and he had so much fun. We had lots of fun and got way to much candy , but it's Easter right? Hope everybody had a great Easter.

I Really HATE Tornado Season!

I really do not like all the storms that happen in Tennessee. The thunder is loud, the rain doesn't stop, and to top it off we get tornadoes. This last friday a town close to ours had a tornado. There was some destruction of homes and businesses and I am glad that it didn't do more damage.

So this same Friday I decided that I would take Levi and Benson to the Main Library downtown and see the puppet show they were putting on. I couldn't have picked a worse day to go. It was stormy that morning, but I decided to go anyway, hoping I would be back home before the weather got really bad. While we were waiting in line one of the library workers told us there was a tornado watch and if it got upgraded to a warning we would all have to go into the stairwell. They were watching the monitors to see if the tornadoes were headed our way. As Levi, Benson and I were standing with many other people, two library employees came up and told us we needed to get into this room right away. As everybody rushed in you could hear the wind and rain beating down on the windows. We sat in this room for awhile and waited to be let out.

I was so proud of Levi for listening to me and being so good. We were finally able to leave and after a long wait able to see "Llama, Llama, Red Pajama" acted out. It was so funny and Levi loved it. They did such a great job and when it was over we rushed home and stayed the rest of the day. I will not be out in a storm again if I can help it.

Don't Go Daddy

Here is a picture of Michael and Levi playing when he got home and another of Levi being sad when Michael left on Sunday. (I know that Levi doesn't look sad, but he was later)

Tired and Angry

Let me tell you about my night last night. I was sleeping peacefully last night when at 2:00 in the morning RING, RING the phone went. I grabbed it and it was the gate to our complex. (You find our name on the list of tenants and it calls our phone to let our visitors in) I did not answer and laid back down. A couple of minutes went by and it rang again and to my surprise it was the gate again. Thinking that it was someone I knew I answered it. Guess what, it was some strange guy asking to be let in. I was so mad I hung up. Who in their mind calls someone at 2 in the morning unless it is an emergency? And it was a stranger no less. I was so mad, but to tired to yell at him. Luckily, Benson did not wake up. I seldon answer the phone if it is the gate because we always have strangers calling us to let them in. I know I sound mean and crazy, but with two boys not sleeping well, I cherish any sleep I get.

Note to stranger: Do NOT call me again.

There, I got my anger out and I can hopefully get a good night's sleep tonight.

3 Months Old

Benson is 3 months old and as we all say the time as flown by. Benson is starting to get his personality and laugh and smile. I can't get enough of his laugh. (hence the video) It is so cute. He is getting bigger and starting to get his chubby cheeks (like his mom). He loves to look around and always smiles at Levi. Levi has to have his turn with Benson. He loves to kiss and talk to him. Benson sure is fun except for all the diaper changing. I guess you get the bad with the good.

Firestation Fun!

We had the chance to go to the firestation this year with our church playgroup ( Thanks Mere for setting it up) Michael's sister Jeanette and kids were here so they came along. It was a lot of fun. Levi loved getting in the firetruck and loves his hat.

Maya and Desiree love Michael. Levi looks a little confused.
