Meeting Old Friends

I should have Michael write this post, but he is busy with work and so I am going to try. Many many months ago (I think last year) Michael was walking in the hall at the church on Sunday. He noticed a guy who looked familier, but assumed it was someone from a different ward. Well, this guy comes up and asks if he is Elder Karren. It turns out that this guy who is Ken lived in Florida where Michael served his mission. They got talking and now Ken and his family live in Louisville. Michael told them that he would be in Louisville for 3 months and they invited him to come over. Michael took them up on their offer and went over a couple of times. Funny thing is that Ken's wife, Ruth Ann, has a sister who also lives in Louisville. Julie and Chris met in Florida and Michael helped teach Chris the gospel. The whole story about how Chris got baptized is pretty amazing to me. He came to Florida to work as a cable guy and was working on Ken and Ruth Ann's house and they invited him to church.
Michael was so excited to see them again. They invited us to come to dinner and so when the boys and I went up to Louisville we went to Chris and Julie's house. We had a wonderful dinner and had fun talking and looking at pictures. They showed me the picture of Chris and Michael on Chris' baptism day. Julie was kind enough to e-mail the picture because Michael's copy is at his parent's house. We had a great time and the next day we went over to Ken and Ruth Ann's house and had a great time talking. They both have amazing families and it was so nice to meet them. Thanks Chris, Julie, Ken and Ruth Ann

Louisville

Michael was in Louisville Kentucky for 3 months and the boys and I joined him one weekend. It was nice to see where Michael had been staying, meet the roommate, and see Louisville. There is a pond in Michael's apartment complex, so we went and fed the ducks. Levi wanted to chase them. We also went to the most amazing zoo, the science center, and drove around downtown. Here are some pictures of our trip.
